If you’re part of my generation, chances are you remember Jane Fonda for her 80s exercise videos and her matronly roles in Jennifer Lopez movies. But if you go back and look at her career, she has a long history of amazing roles, and outspoken politics.

Her career began in the 50s, and she steadily rose to fame working on two movies a year, with her peak being 1968’s Barbarella that solidified her status as a sex symbol. She won an Academy Award in 1971 for Klute, and appeared in movies such as 9 to 5, On Golden Pond, and Agnes of God. She continues to work in films to this day.

But Fonda is so much more than an actress and sex symbol. A self-proclaimed feminist, she was very outspoken against the Vietnam War (although she later expressed some regrets), and she continues to fight for women’s rights, Native American rights, and continues to take a stance against wars across the world.

It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of high-school movies. From classics like Clueless to ABC Family original teen movies, I can’t get enough. Sure, I’ve taken my fair share of being given a hard time for this, but I can’t help it, the classic tropes, predictable plot lines, and of course, the fearless and over the top fashion.

When I was a kid, one of my favorite was Class Act. Probably not…

Jameson Banana Bread

New Post! Jameson Banana Bread

jameson-banana-bread-1

After I made last weeks Banana Jameson (which is seriously like candy, and is sitting collecting dust on my shelves as I take a drinking hiatus), I knew that I wanted to do something with the bananas. But what are you going to do with some nasty bananas? I mean, I guess I could freeze them and throw them in my morning smoothie (that would be QUITE the wakeup), but somehow having a Jameson…

Spread Too Thin

After a summer of way too much fun, I’ve buckled down, and suddenly I feel spread way too thin. Between two jobs, and a new apartment that is begging to be actually moved into, my schedule has felt hectic to say the least. So I had to take a close look at areas of my life I could cut back on, obviously I couldn’t stop working (I wish), and since I have to deal with people all day, I didn’t want…
